Charlie the Cat Doesn't Want to Leave
Charlie the cat is not happy. His humans are packing their suitcases for a trip, and he knows that he will be staying home with the cat sitter.
Charlie doesn't want to leave. He loves his humans, and he doesn't want to be away from them for even a day. But he also knows that they have to go, and he doesn't want to be a burden.
So Charlie sits in the partially packed suitcase, watching his humans move around the house. He sees them put their clothes in the suitcase, and he sees them pack their toiletries. He hears them talking about their trip, and he knows that they are excited.
But Charlie is not excited. He is sad and scared. He doesn't know what he is going to do without his humans. He doesn't know if the cat sitter will take care of him properly. He doesn't know if he will be lonely.
Charlie curls up in the suitcase and closes his eyes. He tries to sleep, but he can't stop thinking about his humans. He misses them already, and they haven't even left yet.
Finally, the day of the trip arrives. Charlie's humans say goodbye to him, and they leave for the airport. Charlie watches them go, and he feels a pang of sadness.
The cat sitter arrives, and she takes Charlie to her home. Charlie doesn't like it there. It is not his home, and it does not smell like his humans.
The cat sitter tries to be nice to Charlie, but he is not interested. He just wants his humans back.
Charlie spends the next few days moping around the cat sitter's house. He doesn't eat, and he doesn't play. He just sits and waits for his humans to come home.
Finally, the day comes when Charlie's humans return from their trip. Charlie is so happy to see them that he runs up to them and starts purring.
Charlie's humans are happy to see him too. They hug him and kiss him, and they tell him how much they missed him.
Charlie is so happy to be home with his humans. He knows that he will never forget the time he spent with the cat sitter, but he is glad to be back in his own home.
